Questions
What are vibe songs?
Songs picked for a feeling rather than a genre: cozy, rainy, late night, happy and so on. Each vibe here is a short playlist of instrumental lofi by Purrple Cat, about an hour long, that you can start with one tap.
How were the songs picked for each vibe?
By hand, from the song titles and the mood of each record, then put in order using a measure of how soft or lively each song sounds. Most vibes start gently, lift in the middle and settle at the end. Sleepy gets quieter as it goes, and Sad but Okay slowly gets brighter.
Is the music free?
Yes. Every song is by Purrple Cat and released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Stream it here, download the MP3s, and use it with credit.
Can I use these songs in my videos and livestreams?
Yes. Use them on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and other social platforms, in videos, reels, shorts and streams. Add the credit line to your description. There is a copy button on every page.
Can I share a vibe with a friend?
Yes. Every vibe has its own link, like vibesongs.com/vibe/rainy/. Press Share on a vibe page to send it or copy it. The Blend page makes a link for a mix of two or three vibes.
Are there lyrics?
No. Every song here is instrumental, so it sits under talking, reading, studying or a voiceover.
Why does the music keep playing when I change page?
The player at the bottom stays put while the page changes around it, so you can browse other vibes without stopping the song.
What can’t I do with the music?
Please don’t upload it to music streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, and no remixes, samples or covers of it there either. Don’t claim you made it. Everything else, with credit, is fine.
